Successful Testing of Fireball in Pakistan: Expect Improved 3G and 4G Performance

Fireball has been successfully tested in Pakistan. Your 3G/4G should now be working properly, as it had issues over the past three to four days due to the firewall testing conducted by the government. During this period, you might have experienced problems with sending or receiving pictures and voice notes on WhatsApp.

The firewall, which was first tested by the government in July, is now fully operational. It is designed to protect privacy and security by acting as a digital barrier for internet signals coming from your mobile phone. Any content posted on social media will first pass through this firewall. If content is deemed inappropriate or harmful, it may be deleted. Additionally, the firewall can trace individuals who post against Pakistan within minutes.

Even if the content is shared or downloaded by others, the firewall can identify the original poster quickly. While there may have been temporary slowdowns, the firewall’s implementation should not affect your internet speed in the long term.
