RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s rising star, Abrar Ahmed, is set to make waves as the team gears up for the highly anticipated two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Speaking at a press conference at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Abrar discussed his ambitions and the fierce competition he faces to secure a spot in the Playing XI.
"My focus is on working hard and delivering my best. It’s up to the team management to decide whether I'll be part of the squad," Abrar stated, emphasizing his dedication to making a significant impact.With established spinners like Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nawaz, and Shadab Khan in the mix, Abrar revealed his strategy to emerge as Pakistan's top spinner. "I have learned a lot from these skilled players. I've focused on perfecting my mystery delivery and aim to become the leading spinner in the team," he added.
Looking ahead, Abrar also expressed his hopes for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held in Pakistan in February-March. "The selection committee will decide my role in the Champions Trophy. I'm eager to contribute if given the chance," he said.

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test series will commence in Rawalpindi, with the first Test scheduled to start on 21 August. The action will then move to Karachi's National Bank Stadium for the second Test from 30 August to 3 September.
